Jack smiled and said, "I'm more confident in Spencer. Believe me, he has a better chance of becoming the mayor."
Luca remained doubtful. "I still think Gerard has the advantage. From what I've seen in the reports, he seems quite capable."
Jack only smiled, neither confirming nor denying anything.
Just as Jack had anticipated, Haven Net, the Carpenter and Lycan families, and all the media they controlled were beginning to attack Gerard.
They listed countless incidents involving Gerard's daughter, Winona, highlighting her arrogant and lawless behavior. Even Gerard's nephew, Nelson, was exposed for abusing his uncle's influence to bully and harass others.
These well-documented facts spread rapidly on Haven Net and other media outlets, causing a public uproar.
Gerard's team noticed the negative coverage gaining momentum, with damaging reports making front-page headlines on Haven Net. They reached out to Haven Net, hoping to have the harmful content removed.
However, the person who posted the videos refused to take them down, threatening to release even more footage and urging the public to stay tuned.
Despite this setback, Gerard's team did not give up. They tried contacting Haven Net's top executives, hoping for help in deleting the videos, shutting down the accounts responsible, and securing a public apology.
Unfortunately, all their efforts were in vain. After all, Haven Net's CEO, Samuel, was against them.
Putting aside the fact that Gerard was still only a candidate, even if he won, Haven Net was now a global internet giant with billions of active users. As long as Samuel refused, Gerard wouldn't even have a chance to meet him.

"I'm telling you, my dad is the future mayor, Gerard Cadwallader. I don't have to respect you. What are you going to do about it?
"I'm using my privileges to grab the food first. What can you do about it? If the mayor doesn't use his privileges, then what's the point of being mayor?
"Do you really think the world is as fair as you imagine? You're hopelessly naive! No matter what, we get served first today, or else your restaurant had better be ready for an inspection!"

Gerard's already fragile public image suffered yet another heavy blow.
