Chapter 854
Third Person’s POV

In reality, Adelaide had absolutely no intention of getting the Royal Marshals involved; she only brought them up to back Edgar into a corner and force a confession.
Between his and Mabel’s testimonies, they had finally pieced together the entire truth.
The only lingering question was whether Winslow and his mother knew about Eleanor’s actions and had been secretly covering for her all along.
According to Adelaide’s deductions, right as Eleanor’s wolf spirit began to deteriorate, Alpha Winslow brought home a young, beautiful new breeder named Scarlett. The girl quickly won over the entire pack.
Even Winslow frequently praised Scarlett’s father as a highly respected scholar during official pack ceremonies. On top of that, every time he looked at Scarlett, his pheromones flared with intense desire.
Eleanor’s health took a sudden nosedive right after Scarlett arrived. To make matters worse, Scarlett got pregnant around the same time, which completely fueled Eleanor’s jealousy.
Having helped manage the pack’s affairs for years, Eleanor had a handful of fiercely loyal omegas under her command.
Under the guise of caring for the pregnant breeder, Eleanor sent Scarlett a daily bowl of venison blood soup to “boost her nutrition.” In reality, she was secretly lacing it with monkshood, slowly poisoning her over time.
Originally, Eleanor’s plan didn’t involve Wanda at all. But Scarlett’s mother ended up getting into several heated arguments with Wanda, their clashing pheromones turning the pack house into a total pressure cooker.
No one could have predicted that Wanda would actually order Sabrina to poison Scarlett’s mother.
It was the absolute perfect opportunity to frame Wanda, and Eleanor wasn’t about to let it slip by.
When the poison was discovered, Alpha Winslow and Luna Rowena quickly traced it back to Wanda. However, at the time, they merely gave her a harsh reprimand.
It wasn’t until Wanda later shoved Sabrina into the freezing lake and her massive loan-sharking scandal blew up that Luna Rowena finally snapped.
୮
Using “infertility” as the official excuse, she permanently kicked Wanda out of the pack house and exiled her from the Glenveil
Pack.
But Eleanor and Sabrina never expected the desperate, cornered Wanda to crawl to the Independent Center for asylum.
The news that Harper had actually taken her in drove Eleanor insane. She pulled out all the stops, determined to completely destroy the Center’s reputation and force Harper to throw Wanda out onto the street.
Unfortunately for her, she succumbed to her illness before the plan could fully materialize.
This entire conspiracy, woven from pure jealousy and despair, came to a screeching halt with her own death.
Now that Edgar had confessed, Adelaide and Paisley dragged him straight to the Glenveil Pack.

Following Eleanor’s death, Luna Rowena’s health had severely declined; she spent most of her days resting in bed.
When Adelaide’s group walked into her bedrooff, Rowena had just finished taking her medicine and was leaning weakly against the headboard. Sabrina was standing respectfully by her side. The second she spotted Adelaide, she shot her a look of pure fear
and hatred.
Rowena knew exactly why Adelaide was here. Wiping a drop of medicine fram the corner of her mouth, she spoke in a low, raspy voice.
“Adelaide, you’re here about Wanda, aren’t you? I’m so sorry she’s been causing you trouble. You can kick her out right now. FIL send guards to bring her back and set her up in a quiet, remote cabin.”
Rowena’s eyes were deeply sunken, framed by sickly, dark circles.
Her pheromones were so faint they were barely detectable; it felt as if her wolf had fallen into a deep sleep.
“Are you feeling any better?” Adelaide asked calmly.
“Well enough, thank you for asking,” Rowena replied, forcing a weak smile.
Adelaide shifted her gaze to Edgar, her voice dropping to a serious octave.
“Edgar, are you going to confess to Luna Rowena yourself, or do I need to do it for you?”
Edgar dropped to his knees with a heavy thud, letting out a pitiful whimper. “Luna…” he croaked, trembling.
Sabrina’s head snapped up, her eyes turning dark and hostile.
“Edgar, you better think long and hard before you open your mouth. Don’t you dare betray Eleanor.”
Rowena’s faint pheromones suddenly rippled. She shot Sabrina a freezing glare, releasing a burst of her Luna aura. It was weak, but it still packed enough authority to command the room.
“Shut your mouth!” Rowena snapped coldly.
Shaking like a leaf, Edgar spilled every last detail of Eleanor’s conspiracy.
Rowena sat there stunned for a long time. Finally, she let out a heavy sigh, her eyes filled with an endless sorrow, as if her wolf had shattered over the revelation.

Hearing Edgar name-drop her, Sabrina threw herself at the edge of Rowena’s bed, sobbing hysterically.
“Please forgive me! Eleanor forced me to do it! I never wanted to hurt anyone!”
