“Did she slap his face? Did Ulrik fight back?” Christine inquired.

Pansy replied, “No, Alpha Ulrik didn’t fight back. He just asked Luna Gloria to leave. She stormed off saying she would go back to Ironclaw. Alpha Ulrik didn’t try to stop her.”
Christine’s frown deepened. “So she’s with Luna Cynthia now?”
“Yes, she’s crying with Luna Cynthia,” Pansy said timidly. “Luna Cynthia asked me to fetch you right away.”
“Alright, you go ahead. I’ll be there shortly,” Christine said, signaling to her personal maid with a glance.
The maid understood and escorted Pansy out, slipping her an extra month’s salary to keep a closer eye on Gloria.
When she returned, she found Christine massaging her temple with a sigh.
She suggested, “You should go over there. Luna Cynthia doesn’t know the full story and might get unnecessarily upset. After all, no matter what, a mother still loves her daughter.”
Christine’s eyes turned cold. “I will. I just need to calm myself down first. I’m afraid I might hit her.”
Luna Cynthia wasn’t a foolish woman and was well aware of her daughter’s temperament.
However, seeing Gloria return, pregnant and crying, her heart inevitably softened.
After all, Gloria hadn’t caused any trouble lately. A mother wouldn’t really hold a grudge against her own child.
So, when she heard Gloria complain that Ulrik was neglecting her, not even caring that she was pregnant, Luna Cynthia sent for Christine to see how they could mediate their marital issues.
When Christine arrived, Audrey was already seated in Luna Cynthia’s room.
“You’re here!” Audrey greeted, relieved.
If Christine hadn’t come, she would have had to find a way to slip away.

Christine nodded at her and then bowed to Luna Cynthia. “Luna Cynthia.”
“Yes, you’ve arrived just in time,” Luna Cynthia said, seated with a stern expression.
Beside her sat Gloria, her tears still fresh.
Gloria, being pregnant, merely nodded without getting up to greet.

After Christine sat down, she looked at Gloria and feigned ignorance, asking, “Why are you crying? Who bullied you?”
Gloria hadn’t intended to involve her family when she returned. She just wanted to scare Ulrik a bit.
But since the words were out, she had no choice but to follow through.
Seeing Cynthia, she felt wronged but didn’t want to appear petty for coming back over a minor issue. So she only mentioned that Ulrik was deliberately neglecting her and giving her the cold shoulder, and that Ulrik’s family was treating her the same way.
She hadn’t expected Cynthia to summon everyone upon hearing this.
Christine was usually stern, and if the matter was brought up, Gloria would be in the wrong.
So when Christine asked, she didn’t dare repeat what she had told Cynthia.
Instead, she vaguely said, “We just had a little argument. I just wanted to come back for a few days to get some peace and quiet.”
Luna Cynthia took over, “She’s pregnant now, and everyone in Bloodmoon, including Alpha Ulrik, is cold–shouldering her and giving her the evil eye.”
“I suspect it’s because of her previous involvement with the Hutchinson family, but since she chose to continue the relationship, both packs should unite more. Constant bickering won’t lead to a harmonious life,” Luna Cynthia sighed and continued, “That’s why I called you over to discuss. Perhaps we should send someone to Bloodmoon to invite Alpha Ulrik here for a talk. We can mediate from both sides. What do you think?”
Luna Cynthia wasn’t aware that Ulrik had been injured.
Christine hadn’t told her to avoid causing worry, only sending some healing herbs and tonics
over.
But with Gloria’s return and her crying, Christine couldn’t keep it a secret anymore.
