Ariana glanced down at the apron Victor had tied around her waist, dazed. 

By the time she snapped out of it, Victor had already moved aside and resumed chopping vegetables. 

Outside, Hunter and Simon acted as if they had seen nothing and headed into the living room to chat. 

Ariana couldn’t help but steal a few more glances at Victor who was focused on cutting the vegetables with precision. 

His side profile was flawless. Though he usually kept a serious and distant demeanor, he looked dedicated when cooking. 

No, not just in the kitchen. Whenever he did anything, he was always focused and meticulous. 

It was just… He gave off an unapproachable aura when he wasn’t working.

you done staring at me?” Victor’s sudden remark snapped Ariana out of her thoughts. 

She cleared her throat. “I was checking if there was something on your face.” 

Victor didn’t respond, which gave Ariana the perfect opportunity. She reached out and patted his cheek. It was just a brief touch, but Victor was stunned. 

Ariana had dusted flour onto her hands earlier, and now, a smudge covered one side of Victor’s face. 

Hunter instinctively wanted to step in and inform Victor. 

But Simon stopped him. “They’re flirting. What are you doing? Stay put!” 

“Flirting?” Hunter was unconvinced. That was clearly intentional. 

“Just trust me. You’ll see I’m right.” Simon patted his chest confidently as if he had everything under control. 

Hunter stopped. Still, he couldn’t help but wonder. Victor was a neat freak. Who knew how he would react if he realized his face was covered in flour? 

Back in the kitchen, Ariana continued cooking as she and Victor coordinated their tasks seamlessly. 

The task of chopping and washing vegetables wasn’t difficult, so Victor finished quickly and left the kitchen. 

As he stepped out, Simon pointed at his face. 

However, Victor already knew. He grabbed a napkin and wiped off the flour. 

Simon grinned. He knew it. Victor had fallen for Ariana. 

Time passed quickly. By evening, Ariana emerged from the kitchen carrying dish after dish. 

Simon hurried over to help, taking the plates from her hands. 

His mouth watered as he stared at the dishes. There were several types of meat and even seafood. Ariana also cooked up some eggs and soup. They were all Victor’s favorites. 

“Dinner is served! This is way better than anything Victor or Hunter ever made! I can practically taste it!” Simon rubbed his hands together in excitement, eager to dig in. 

Victor took a seat across from Ariana. 

Ariana poured drinks for everyone and placed them on the table. “Dr. Finch, thank you for the medicine. This toast
